What We Offer
Explore our range of services designed to help you move forward with confidence, wherever you're headed next.
What Sets Us Apart
Good design is more than making a space beautiful. It’s about understanding how you live, anticipating the details that matter, and creating a clear path from an idea to a finished space. Our approach brings thoughtful design, practical planning, and continued guidance together throughout the process.
Design Rooted In Real Life
We consider how your home needs to function as carefully as how it should look, creating spaces shaped around the people who live in them.
Details Considered Early
From layouts and material selections to the small decisions that affect the finished space, we work through the details before they become questions in the field.
A Clear Design Direction
We bring the many decisions of a project into one cohesive vision, helping you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Advocacy Through The Process
When design moves into construction, we remain a resource for questions, clarifications, and the details that help protect the original design intent.
DESIGN SERVICES
Our full-service offerings are designed to carry your project from early planning through final documentation and implementation. Each scope is tailored to the needs of the space, bringing together thoughtful planning, curated selections, clear documentation, and continued design support throughout the process.
FOCUSED DESIGN SUPPORT
For projects that call for a more focused level of support, we also offer consultation and select à la carte design services.
-
2 Hours · $300
A two-hour on-site consultation to review your existing space, discuss project goals, priorities, design direction, and potential opportunities, and identify recommended next steps.
This consultation is advisory in nature and does not include design development, drawings, renderings, product or material specifications, procurement, or other design deliverables.
-
$150 / Hour
À la carte design assistance for the selection and coordination of furniture, rugs, decorative lighting, window treatments, artwork, mirrors, accessories, and other finishing elements within specified spaces.
Selections are considered together for scale, proportion, placement, material, finish, and overall design cohesion. Procurement, purchasing, receiving, delivery, installation, and styling are not included unless specifically incorporated into the project scope.
-
$150 / Hour
Additional construction-phase design support for projects requiring a greater level of designer involvement during implementation.
Services may include design-related communication with contractors and trades, coordination of approved selections and design information, additional site meetings and field clarifications, substitution review, resolution of design-related questions, and advocacy for the approved design intent.
Nocturne Atelier provides design coordination and client advocacy but does not act as the project's general contractor or construction manager.
Nocturne Atelier is primarily a full-service design studio. Focused and à la carte services are available for select project needs or as an extension of a larger design engagement. Final scope and anticipated design hours are established within each approved proposal.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Start by telling us a little about your project through our inquiry form. We'll review your space, goals, anticipated scope, and timeline to determine the best next step, whether that's an initial consultation or a conversation about a comprehensive design engagement.
-
No. You're welcome to reach out whether you're still exploring the possibilities or already have a contractor or builder involved. Nocturne Atelier provides interior design services and does not act as the general contractor or construction manager. We're happy to collaborate with your selected construction team to communicate the design and help maintain the approved design intent.
-
Every project is tailored to its individual scope, but our full-service engagements generally include design development, material and fixture selections, applicable drawings and visualizations, selection and specification documentation, and design support as the project moves into implementation.
-
Our current design rate is $150 per hour. Because every project varies in size, scope, and complexity, comprehensive design services are proposed with an estimated design-hour allowance rather than a one-size-fits-all package price.
Before work begins, you'll receive a proposal outlining your project scope, anticipated design hours, and design fees. We track time throughout the project and provide updates so you can see how your approved design-hour allowance is being utilized.
-
Yes. While our studio is centered around comprehensive design engagements, we offer select focused and à la carte services for projects that don't require full-service design. These include in-person design consultations, furnishings and decor selections, and additional design implementation and client advocacy.
The scope and availability of these services are determined based on the needs of each project.
-
Your proposal includes an estimated design-hour allowance based on the agreed project scope. We track design time throughout the project and provide updates every two weeks showing hours used, remaining hours, and a general summary of services performed.
If additional time is anticipated, we'll let you know before exceeding the approved allowance. Additional design hours are never performed without your written approval.
-
Our involvement doesn't necessarily end when the drawings and selections are complete. Full-service projects include applicable construction-phase design support such as contractor handoff, design clarifications, scheduled site visits, substitution review, installation review, and a final design walkthrough.
For projects requiring a greater level of designer involvement during implementation, additional Design Implementation + Client Advocacy may be incorporated into the project scope.
Nocturne Atelier remains responsible for the design, while your contractor and trades remain responsible for construction, field verification, scheduling, permitting, workmanship, site safety, and execution of the work.
